Tena koutou e te Whanau,

To book our Wharenui, Whare kai, and or Boardroom please book online as our calendar will let you know what dates our facilities are free, people capacity and prices. Should you have any questions, please feel free to phone Jacqui on 03-3555-615.

Restrictions:

We do have restrictions for Wharenui and Whare kai under level 2 restrictions. They are as follows.

  • No overnight bookings at this stage
  • Total of 40 people Wharenui. Includes organisers, presenters, kaimahi, kai korero and kai karanga.
  • Water, tea, and coffee available
  • Catering can be delivered on site but will need to be individually packaged.

Tangihanga:

For the duration of Level 2, whanau are encouraged to hold tangi in their whanau home. Although the marae is available to the family to hold a service, if you are planning to host a Poroporoake, we do encourage you to have this at your whare and or other venue due to catering limitations in Level 2.

Covid Precautionary Guidelines:

Rehua Marae has Covid preventative safety measures in place to reduce potential transmission of Covid. We also have QR Code and manual sign in options that will help Public Health Units to track any cases and places of interest should infection occur from within our site. All whanau, organisations, and community stakeholders who make bookings from Tuesday the 26 October 2021 will be provided with a Covid information pack that outlines our precautionary expectations when you use our Wharenui, Whare kai and Board room facilities.

Team of 5 Million:

This is a challenging time for us all. We do understand that some whanau may be medically vulnerable and unable to be vaccinated. For those of us who can, let’s be part of the 5 million and get vaccinated so our kaumatua, whanau, those with a medical condition and community are safe from potential infection or transmission of the virus.

Be well, Be Safe

Kia noho haumaru tatou ki ou tatou whare.

Jim Hauraki
