Marae Bookings

Rehua Marae is available to all communities, organisations, educational providers and whānau. We are located at 79 Springfield Road, St Albans, Christchurch 8014.

All bookings and charges are exclusive of GST

Wharenui – Te Whatu Manawa Māoritanga o Rehua

Our large meeting house seats up to a maximum of 100 people and sleeps a maximum of 40 people. The wharenui hire includes the use of the dining room, commercial kitchen and bathrooms with toilet and shower facilities.

Overnight Hire – $750

Full Day Hire – $550

Half Day Hire – $300

Bookings can be made online with a $200 booking deposit required to secure your booking.

  • Your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel less than 10 business days from your booking date.
  • Your booking deposit may be kept to cover wharenui cleaning or any loss or damage to the marae facilities or equipment.
  • Kitchen pre-departure check list has to be completed and given to Administration or left in the key box before departure.
  • Cancellations initiated by Rehua Marae will result in a full refund of your deposit.
  • The booking deposit and bond payments can be made to the following bank account: 030855 0367342 00 – Rehua Marae Trust.

Wharenui Catering:

Marae In-house Catering Service:

We offer full catering services for all events or functions held at the marae. See Rehua Marae Booking Information for menu options, hire conditions and prices.

Self -Catering:

Whānau and groups can choose to self-cater. A bond of $250 applies and will be refunded following an inspection of the kitchen for hygiene, rubbish removal and any damage or missing equipment. Your bond, or part thereof, may be kept to cover cleaning charges or loss or damage if required. Your bond is payable at confirmation of your booking.

External Professional Caterers:

External professional catering incurs a kitchen hire charge of $300.

Special Dietary Requirements (Please note options for dietary conditions such as coeliac and severe gluten-free intolerance is limited – an $8 - $13 pp surcharge applies).

Boardroom – Aoraki

Our modern boardroom easily accommodates up to 20 people and has a Smart TV, whiteboard and kitchenette facilities. See Rehua Marae Booking Information for menu options, hire conditions and prices. All bookings and charges are exclusive of GST.

Full Day Hire – $250

Half Day Hire – $150
